Assistive technology is defined as any product or tool that increase and/or maintain the functional capacities of children of disabilities. Some of the functions that are targeted through assistive technology include cognitive problems and physical impairment. The use of technology within the last decade has become a big push amongst various platforms and has served as a great resource for students, teachers and administrators. There are various tools that can be used to improve listening, math skills, organization and memory, reading and writing. Some ATs provide students with spoken language difficulties an opportunity to utilize during lessons and during meetings. This provides students an equal playing field amongst their fellow classmates.
