Week 5: Assignment 2

Assistive technology is defined as any product or tool that increase and/or maintain the functional capacities of children of disabilities. Some of the functions that are targeted through assistive technology include cognitive problems and physical impairment. The use of technology within the last decade has become a big push amongst various platforms and has served as a great resource for students, teachers and administrators. There are various tools that can be used to improve listening, math skills, organization and memory, reading and writing. Some ATs provide students with spoken language difficulties an opportunity to utilize during lessons and during meetings. This provides students an equal playing field amongst their fellow classmates. Keystone Project

Zulayka Adamson EDPC 610 June 26, 2018                                                                                 Keystone Project During my observation, I became familiar with a student named Timothy who was rather quiet. I noticed during our daily adjectives/pronouns song, Timothy struggled with differentiating what is a noun and a pronoun. I developed three lesson plans that will tackle nouns and pronouns and in the third lesson, students will have the opportunity to compare and contrast the characteristics while identifying some of the common words or things they are familiar with.
